Tüfleten (extrem)

Jura - Switzerland,

This typical Jura climbing with very tough cruxes can drive you a little crazy. But once you have figured out the moves, these routes on such excellent stone reveal themselves as real gems. 6a is entry level at Tufleten. The premier hard route is “Im Reich des Shoguns” (9a). The route was first climbed by Eric Talmadge in 2000 and only repeated by Adam Ondra in 2009. It is one of the most difficult routes in Switzerland. Tufleten is very protected from the wind and the rock dries quickly after rain. These qualities make it an ideal winter climbing destination.
