Valsertal / Alterertal

Tyrol,

Northern Wipptal – between the Brenner and Innsbruck – is known to most people only for it’s alpine skiing and mountaineering. A few years ago, however, motivated developers discovered the potential of this valley for climbing. In the meantime, it has become a new top spot in the area. The climbing is very athletic on ledges, slopes and cracks on vertical and overhanging rock. The only negative is the slightly longer approach.
