Nollen Erstfeld (plaisir)

If you seek adventure and big walls, you won’t find it here. But if you are looking for a laid back afternoon hang with a perfect spot for a snack after your climb, you have found the ideal place. The Erstfeld train engineer Toni Zimmermann put up the route in the 60’s (you will see a few of his old pitons here and there). Bruno Bollinger retrofitted the route in 2011. The gneiss is solid, though in the lower part occasionally mossy and dirty. Allow 2-3 sunny days for the route to dry after rainfall. Easily accessed with public transportation.
