Enoteca

Liguria, IT

Upon arrival at the Enoteca one wonders how they managed to find this place. In fact this nice vertical wall is almost invisible from the bottom of the valley and is well hidden in amongst the various side valleys of the mountain Castellermo. But climbers who are looking for new crags have a good nose and here Dinda and Blond found a real little jewel. It is a large wall of about 60m lengths and consists of compact textured limestone with drip formations and erosions, similar to the Fontana at the Bauso. At first sight the cliff seems nice but one might think nothing special of it but some routes like Merlot and Pigato honour the name that they bear with a unique quality of rock. The climbing style is predominately a mix between technique and finger strength and the routes are mostly in the 6th grade with some bordering to the 7th garde. All in all it is cliff suitable for many and its east exposition turns it into a big success particularly during the hot season.
