Monte Tolla / La Fornace

Liguria, IT

Monte Tolla is the band of yellow-gray-red rock that lies above the church of S. Cipriano, starting point for the cliffs of Lacremà, Bric Reseghe and Vacchè. For years its walls were courted by the finaleros but without a real reason the cliff had never taken off. It is only in the last five years that Matteo Felanda and friends bolted some new itineraries of great quality on tufas and holes where endurance climbing is the style to master. Exposed to the south it is ideal in winter but has a relatively short season as there is a temporary ban on climbing for the preservation of the nesting sites of birds of prey ranging from January 1st to July 31st.
