Masriudoms / Cova d’en Marian

The awe-inspiring cave La Cova d’en Marian, situated in the beautiful hills just north of the village of Masriudoms, cannot fail to impress. With fewer than thirty routes this is by no means an extensive sector, but what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality. The routes invariably follow tufa-lines of exceptional steepness, with some of the longer pitches demanding the highest levels of endurance. Facing south / south-east and protected from cold winds by the enfolding landscape, Masriudoms is the perfect venue for mid-winter. However, late afternoons and evenings in spring and autumn, once the sun has disappeared from the main wall, can also provide good climbing conditions. Masriudoms also has the distinction of being one of the few places in Tarragona where it is possible to climb in the rain. __Orientation:__ south/southeast — sun until mid-afternoon.
