Hon Dua

Red River Delta, VN

Standing approximately 35 meters high, Hon Dua is one of Ha Long Bay’s most stunning formations. Low tide exposes an undercut base no larger than 3 m². This pillar is an exceptional rock feature and standing on top is worth the trip. Although Tightrope is your easiest route to the top, it requires navigating persistent choss and fire ants. Offroute and Fresh Air offer cleaner, more enjoyable routes to the top. Hon Dua also has a few fun DWS lines, but be careful: water around the base is very shallow. Check water depth before climbing, only climb at high tide, and adjust how high you climb accordingly.
