Wolfstein

Harz, DE

For years the Wolfstein carried the ill reputation of a hardly compacted sand pile and was consequently ignored completely. This error was corrected by Chris Schilling who "discovered" the Wolfstein as a bouldering paradise. In fact, the Wolfstein offers excellent steep bouldering, which in combination with the location more or less right in the middle of town and the minimal access time makes up for a perfect training ground. But of course, also the occasional visit is certainly worth while. Such a dense selection of steep problems cannot be found elsewhere in the whole Harz mountains. The blocks border to houses and gardens, therefor please take care and keep a low profile in order to avoid troubles with the "neighbours".
