Truitjies Kraal

Western Cape, ZA

Truitjies Kraal is a truly amazing place. It is a jumble of huge boulders, blocks, walls and clefts spread over a large area. The climbing is unique, but also typical to the Cederberg. The maze of passages, cracks and valleys gives it a distinctive cowboy feel and it is a great place for kids and picnics. Walking around this lunar wilderness at full moon is a somewhat surreal experience. The climbing is spread over a wide range of grades, offering routes from easy all the way through to hard core.
