But this ridge is often underestimated: Traffic jams can ensue and bad weather can lead to major problems since retreat is difficult. Therefore, the route should only be started under stable skies and by experienced parties. For those who can do without ridge climbs and still want to experience the best of Salbit granite, the Gemsplanggen has fantastic routes. The selection of climbs here is kept to a minimum due to the recent publication of the more comprehensive “Salbit erleben!”.
