Muckros Head

Northern Ireland,

Muckros Head is probably the steepest crag in Ireland. The rough sandstone walls are riddled with roofs and positive horizontal breaks, making for strenuous but well protected climbing. Large cams are particularly useful for the plentiful horizontal breaks. The rock is generally very solid but the top of the crag can be a little loose.
