Vlychada

Peloponnese, GR

Vlychada, for most climbers, is a dream crag: red and grey limestone rising just above an amazing pebbled beach, the waters below clean and welcoming. A road goes all the way down to the beach, where tents and camper vans are welcome. __Climbing__ On very good grey/red limestone with prominent features, pockets, and tufas. Vlychada was first developed for the CLIMB KYPARISSI project in 2016 by Aris Theodoropoulos, Claude Idoux, and George Kopalides. Later, visiting climbers added a few more routes in-between the spaces. __Gear__ A single 60m rope + 20 QDs. __Conditions__ Best for spring and autumn. Summer afternoons, too. __Shade (Exposure: NE)__ Almost all day: after 10:00 on the right; after 13:00 everywhere else. __Kids__ Perfect.
