Jurassic Park

Kalymnos, GR

Jurassic Park is a huge crescent of pocketed wall with tufas high above (and to the left of) Grande Grotta, and slightly higher than sector Spartacus. Even though it is a small crag with a short climbing season, the limestone is so solid and the routes so good that Jurassic Park is well worth the extra walk. A big crescent of pocketed rock with lots of holes and tufas. Rock and routes of supreme quality. __Busy__ 1/3 __Climbing__ Overhangs with holes, huecos, and tufa pipes on some of the classiest routes on Kalymnos. __Conditions__ Warm. Protected from the wind and rain (on the right side). Not good for climbing on very hot, humid, or days without wind. __Shade (Exposure: SW)__ Left: until 11:00. Right: until 13:00 (headwall), until 15:00 (cave). __Kids__ The walk is long, and there is a scramble up the approach gully that requires caution. Otherwise OK. Approach (Walking time: 45–50 minutes)
