Balcony
Peloponnese, GR
__Balcony__ is a very worthwhile wall rising from a narrow terrace high above and to the left of Kokkinóvrachos. The marble-like wall gets a golden glow in the late sun, and the view to the sea is absolutely spectacular.
__Climbing__
Mostly technical face climbing on a vertical or slightly overhanging wall with small holds (both vertical and horizontal), the occasional tufa, and a smooth, slopey, marble-like feel. At the time of this writing, the 18 routes at Balcony are graded 6c+ to 7c, and they were equipped through the AOS Project in 2013.
__Gear__
A single 80m rope + 12 QDs (single pitches) or 20 QDs (extensions).
__Conditions__
Hot and windy. Good for winter days, or for cloudy days in spring and fall. Exposed to the wind, so avoid on very windy days. On the flipside, the rock dries fast thanks to the wind, therefore this is a good crag when everything else in Leonidio is wet.
__Shade (Exposure: S)__
Until 11:00.
__Kids__
No.
