Østmarka - Korketrekkern

The sector starts just behind Ostmarksetra and continues all the way to Noklevann, and reaches as far north as the southern tip of Solbergvann. Apart from a few walls just south of Solbergvann, all the walls and boulders are located in the southern part of the sector, easily reached from the parking lot nearby Ostmarksetra. "Bolerveggen" was developed in early 2000 by a gang of boulderers also known as "Bolerbandittene" (the Tidemandsen brot- hers, Anders Ghlorsen, Bent Dahle Hansen, Erik Aune, Joakim Trohaugen and friends). This long wall, together with "Futuramaveggen". were the only walls developed in this sector for nearly 10 years. "Futurama" and "El fantastico" are 2 superhard long standing projects in the forest. The last couple of years, the sector has seen a lot of new development. The average grade for this sector is higher than the other sectors, a high percentage of the problems are 6C - 7A+. Apart from the before mentioned walls, the "Korkedalen" mini sector is well worth a visit. lt is a small east- west valley filled with big boulders and walls, an unusual geological feature in the forest.
