Burgkofl / Sonnenburg

On the way through Pustertal Valley, the imposing wall of the Burgkofel near St. Lorenzen immediately hits the eye. It lies not far from the road and yet pleasantly hidden in the forest. Already since the 80s people climb there. Many new routes were opened between 2008 and 2011. With the newly added sector "Kraxl Maxn", the climbing crag now offers about 80 routes. The area is particularly popular on rainy days, as most of the sector C routes are always dry. In the main sector, an 80-meter rope is recommended on some routes.
