Priañes y Secretivo

Priañes marked the beginning of a new era of the climbing style in Asturias in the 1980’s, with a move towards more overhanging routes. Nowadays its routes are a little worn down, but the quality of some of them deserve a visit. The situation is altogether different at the Secretivo wall, a wall that was bolted at the end of the 90´s. This is a good wall to climb on summer evenings if it is not very damp. Best season: In Priañes climbing is prohibited from the end of February until the end of July. The best season is from October to the end of January. From August to October, the wall is shaded in the evening. Secretivo is ideal to visit on spring, summer and autumn evenings. In winter the wall is normally wet as a result of the rain.
