Bärenfels / Bärenwand (plaisir)

The solid and compact wall of Bärenfels (Bear Rock) offers both beginner and advanced climbers a wide assortment of routes and a pleasant place to be. Great Jura limestone is typical (especially in the upper grades) for Gewächshaus. The bolting leaves a bit to be desired though. The easier routes also tend to be more vegetated and overgrown. The rock stays wet long after rainfall.
