Aspen Glades

Fremont County, US

The back side of Wild Iris is home to some of the best climbs anywhere. The valley behind the Main Wall includes the cli s of the Aspen Glade, The Remuda, and the Erratic, as well as assorted other cliffs. The Aspen Glade wall features some of the cleanest stone at Wild Iris. This wall faces southeast and is pleasant late into the fall. For summer climbing, the walls of the Remuda and Erratic o er shade most of the day. Be warned, though, that the routes on these walls tend to be very difficult – this is not a beginner’s crag.
