Arnea

Asturias, ES

Arnea was one of the first bolted crags of high difficulty in Asturias. Its most technical routes represented a real challenge for climbers during the 80´s and 90´s. Eventually it fell into disuse because of the noise due to its proximity to new roads, the routes became worn down and new regulations put in place regarding bird nesting. Despite this, it is a good wall to climb long routes, even after it rains due to its quick drying and easy access. Best season: From October to the end of January. Climbing is forbidden between February and June due to bird nesting.
