Black Wall

Agadir, MA

One of Tafraout’s most popular granite crags, the Black Wall at Aguerd Oudad is an excellent climbing ground, with some of the best face-climbing in the area. For many years this was Tafraout’s main ‘sport’ crag, and although there are now better places to go for modern bolt-clipping, the Black Wall remains a very worthwhile venue. Routes here are generally bolt-protected, but require supplementary protection in the form of nuts or cams. This can vary from a full rack of large cams on routes such as Black Wall Crack, to a couple of nuts and small cams for the wall routes. The climbs remain in the shade all day, making this an excellent choice in warmer weather.
