Bizarro World

Ontario, CA

Perhaps as the name implies, Bizarro World is a perplexing area and is surprisingly quiet for such a large climbing area. The boulders along the trail are well known while large swathes are a complete mystery to most climbers. Bizarro was the most daunting area for our team to figure out and involved several dedicated trips over a period of months. With the assistance of the climbing community (Scott Chuback in particular), we were able to find almost all of the problems while establishing a few along the way. The section of the purple Terrace Trail that runs through Bizarro is often muddy with flowing water. As such, most climbers and hikers opt to walk along the parallel Bouldering Trail instead. Some parts of Bizarro World are dense with vegetation and heavy with insects, and thus best avoided in the summer.
