Engi (Aaterästei) (plaisir)

Ostschweiz,

Thanks be to the avalanche winter… The mighty 1999 “Mettlen Avalanche” tumbled a huge boulder down into the valley. The “Aaterästei” (Snake Stone) rolled into its present positions as if pried out of the woods. Major cleanup efforts followed. The countless hours of work that Felix Ortlieb and his helpers put into equipping this giant boulder have been well worth it. Canton Glarus gained a new climbing crag.
