Föhnmauer (Extrem)

Ostschweiz,

The Chinook Wall is the ideal year round training crag! Not so seldom it blows here, like the name suggests, a strong Chinook (South Wind). During these times climbing can be quite uncomfortable as the wall is exposed to the wind. On the plus side, it dries quickly after rain. A little bit further up is the Tschingelpfeiler. The friction on the rock here isn’t always the best. Nevertheless, the wide variety of routes is good enough reason to justify a visit.
