Østmarka - Lia

This is the sector where it all started. Just a short walk from the Hellerud sports climbing crag, the „Gerling“ wall was developed at the turn of the millennium. This wall is without a doubt the most visited in the forest. Apart from this mini sector, the rest of the area was developed without publicity, so it has not seen too many visitors. The sector lies between Trolldalen and the main dirt road and is a relatively big area- In terms of number of problems, it is the second largest, also having a high number of hard boulder problems. In addition to the „Grevling“, the „Fan ta…“ and the „Dr. grenade“ mini sectors, „Granittveggen“ is also highly recommended. There are several hidden/rare gems here, so go exploring! Lia has everything to offer, from short and low problems to highballs and/ or bad landings. It is not only walls here, but a good portion of the problems are found on boulder. The main caller is rather deep and it can be a bit tricky to find the east-west paths, but there are a couple of them. There are areas here with potential for new lines if that is your craving, everything from low walls to high-bolds. You can easily reach the area from both south and north, Oppsal or Hellerud respectively.
