Spartan Wall

Kalymnos, GR

At Spartan Wall—an immaculate minimal limestone face with very few features—you will find some of the hardest wall climbs on Kalymnos. If old-fashioned vertical climbing is your thing, Spartan Wall will become one of your favorite crags. Moreover, the lower right side of the crag features some good routes for beginners. A big beautiful face with some of the hardest technical wall climbs on the island, plus some easy training slabs on the right. __Busy__ 2/3 __Climbing__ Very long pitches, small crimps, and technical, old-fashioned vertical wall climbing. __Conditions__ Northwest-facing, but not good for climbing on hot, humid days. The tiny crimps melt into the rock. __Shade (Exposure: NW)__ Until 14:30. __Kids__ The path is long and somewhat steep, but once there you can find some suitable areas for kids.
