The Steeple - Riverside

The Riverside Crags lie on or near the banks of the Kingna River opposite and under the watchful eye of the imposing Cogman’s Buttress. Here you will find some of the more popular crags in Montagu, offering slabby to vertical climbing, as well as crags that will give your forearms a run for their money. One of the most popular crags in Montagu. Excellent easy to moderate long routes on the slabby side and some good harder routes on the steep side. Lovely grassy base, perfect for kids and picnics. Can get crowded on weekend summer afternoons.
