New Mills Torrs

Peak District, GB

Hidden below the streets and viaducts of this northern mill town is a series of sheltered quarried walls by the River Goyt. It’s a great spot for locals, or if you’ve been rained out of the rest of the Peak as some of the rock stays dry, sheltered by the viaducts. Many of the up problems are the starts to routes, so use your common sense as to the finish of the problem. While it may not be a classic bouldering area, the rock is good quality and it is close to the shops.
