This climb with fascinating views to the Aare Valley below offers worthwhile climbing for the beginner. The ridge has a paucity of fixed protection, there- fore, you need to place your own. Good practice for those new to trad climb- ing. Climbing a ridge with a pack on your back is not so common in the Jura. But it might be a good idea here. On the descent along the trail (at a place where it is not so steep) you will find to the right and below the ridgeline the nicest picnic spot in the entire Jura. Equipped with a bench and firepit, you will have all of the Swiss lowlands beneath your feet!
