Laste

Laste is located near Rocca Pietore in the area of Argodino. Even though it is located outside the boundaries of Cortina, the Val Badia and Fassa, we would like to mention it in this guide. The crag of Laste surprises with a tower of dolomite similar to the south wall of the Marmolada. It is located on a hill and offers a wonderful view of the northwest face of the Civetta. Should the view alone not be enough of a reason for a visit, the long routes and the different climbing offered in every sector certainly is: from technical routes on slabby or vertical rock to long overhanging endurance routes. As new routes are constantly being opened, some grades are still uncertain. The grades of other routes such as “L’attimo” and the 2 extensions of “Zepping” (both 8b) are confirmed. Furthermore, the wall is surrounded by gorgeous landscape, in particular near the Sass de la Gusela. To sum it up: a crag not to be missed!
